Beaners Defeat Cowboys

Categories Lifestyle

Many of us grew up believing that eating meat was important to our health: that it made us strong, and macho.  What a marketing job. Wake up people. If you want to be strong, healthy, and beautiful, then be a beaner, not a cowboy.

Here are 10 reasons  why:

1. Beans have as much protein as beef
They both have 24 grams per serving (serving =100 grams).  That’s plenty of protein, but let’s not get all crazy about protein consumption. We need protein, but only about .36 grams per pound of body weight. If you’re an average sized woman a serving of beans has got you covered.  More protein won’t make you lean and muscular; that’s a marketing ploy: They’re trying to sell you supplements. Excessive protein will turn into fat (constipation, bad breath, kidney disease, increase cancer risk, etc.), so if you want to look good and be healthy, don’t eat too much protein.

2. Beans have way less fat
Beans have less than one gram of fat per 100, and beef has a frightening 22 grams of fat per 100. Where do you think all that fat goes?  Some of it will find a home around your waist or under your chin, and some of it will clog your arteries, cowboy. That should make a vegan out of you right there, if you are serious about your health or even your appearance.

3. Beans have way more fiber
Just a small serving of beans has  25% of your recommended daily intake of fiber.  Kill a cow, and eat the entire thing and you will be rewarded with bad karma and no fiber.  Why is fiber good? It makes you healthy and beautiful by slowing the rate of sugar absorbed into your bloodstream, making you feel fuller and eat less, cleaning  out your colon, and making you poop. Thank you fiber. Eat enough beef and maybe you will die of constipation like Elvis.

4. Beans have way more Iron
A small serving of beans give you  45% of the iron that you need for the day, and beef, so heavily marketed as rich in iron, offers only 12%. More iron means more oxygen in your blood and more energy.  That’s one of several reasons that vegans have so much energy.

5. Beans have way more magnesium
That same small 100 gram serving of beans fulfills  35% of your daily requirement for magnesium. Compared to a paltry 5% for beef.  Magnesium does a lot. It is important for your immune system, nerve function, and bone strength.

6. Beans are way cheaper
Beans are about $1. 39 per lb, and the cheapest  beef you will find is at least 300% more expensive.  Use that money you save to buy yourself something nice, like clothes.

7. Beef requires the murder of innocent life.  Beans do not.

8. Beef is linked to cardiovascular disease, colon cancer, and type 2 diabetes. Beans are not.
Those things lead to an early death. You don’t want none of that, cowboy

9. Most meat is filled with antibiotics and hormones, but beans aren’t.
Did you know that Europe refuses to import American beef because of hormone injections?  If they ever start injecting beans with hormones and antibiotics, then I’ll recommend avoiding them as well.

10. Beef leaks blood all over your fridge, leaving a disgusting mess to clean up.  Beans don’t.
It has got nothing to do with nutrition, but what a bonus!

There are many other reasons to eat beans rather than beef.  Use your brain, follow your heart, and join the vegan revolution, cowboy, and become a proud beaner like me.
